On October 6, 2025, Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark, in her role as patron of the Christmas Seal Foundation, attended the presentation of this year’s Christmas Seal at Copenhagen City Hall.
This year’s Christmas Seal, titled “Christmas Hope and Wishing Stars” by artist Emilie Melgaard Jacobsen, is a tribute to children’s wishes and hopes, and a reminder of how we can help children overcome obstacles.

The artist behind this year’s Christmas Seal, Emilie Melgaard Jacobsen, was among the speakers at the event. Anne Glad Wagner, Chair of the Board of the Christmas Seal Foundation, also gave a speech, and researcher Malene Charlotte Larsen gave a presentation on children’s relationships on social media.

Since 1904, the Christmas Seal Foundation has released a special Christmas Seal each year to raise funds for children at the five Christmas Seal Homes. Each year, up to 1,000 children stay at the homes, which help improve their well-being and self-esteem, and combat mental distress, loneliness, and bullying.
