On March 20, 2025, Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark participated in the opening of Realdania’s conference „Vores Livskvalitet‟ (Our Quality of Life).
Upon her arrival at the Lokomotivværkstedet in Copenhagen, the Queen was greeted by the Chairman of Realdania’s Board, Lars Krarup, and the CEO of Realdania, Jesper Nygård.
Her Majesty the Queen delivered the opening speech at the conference, which was held on International Day of Happiness.
At the conference, Realdania launched a book about the factors that have a particularly significant impact on the quality of life for Danes. The book is based on a quality of life survey with responses from more than 120,000 Danes. The survey was conducted in celebration of Realdania’s 25th anniversary.
The purpose of the survey is to highlight which factors are especially important for the quality of life of Danes – and how this knowledge can be incorporated into the built environment as well as more broadly on a societal level.
Realdania is a member-based philanthropic association that works to create quality of life for all through the built environment.
