The Regent Couple Held at New Year’s Table

The biggest event of the Official New Year’s Court Denmark, January 1st, 2017, took place this evening at Christian VII’s Palace in Amalienborg, Copenhagen, Denmark.

The annual New Year’s Court for members of Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik for the Danish government, representatives of the official Guest List and table for the government on the occasion of New Year’s Eve on January 1st 2017 and the Kingdom.

New Year’s Carriageride

On January 4th, 2017 The Queen of Denmark, escorted by the Guard Hussar Regiment’s mounted squadron, rides in the Gold Coach from Amalienborg to Christiansborg Palace at 09.10 and from Christiansborg Palace to Amalienborg at approximately 13.00

H.M. The Queen’s Banquet and Levees

January 4th 2017, H.M The Queen’s New Year’s address the New Year’s banquet and New Year’s levees on.
New Year’s levee on Wednesday, 4 January 2017 from 09.30 at Christiansborg Palace, Copenhagen, Denmark.
The guests arrive from 09.00-12.20.
Participants: Officers from the Defence and the Danish Emergency Management Agency, the I., II. and III. ranking classes, and invited representatives of larger national organizations and royal patronages. The Queen and the Crown Prince Couple will be present.

Crown Princess Visits Copenhagen Baby Heart Research Project

On January 17th, 2017 at the Copenhagen University Hospital on Monday, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark paid a visit to the Copenhagen Baby Heart research project that is being run to provide heart scans to newborn babies to help researchers and doctors “gain greater knowledge about the number of children born with heart disease.”
Mary was taken on a tour of the maternity ward and met with a number of parents whose newborns have been scanned through the project. She also watched a three-day-old baby boy receive his heart scan.
Afterwards it was over to the Hotel d’Angleterre, where the Princess, as patron, delivered the Danish Heart Association’s research grants.

H.R.H. Prince Joachim Distribution of DI’s Initiative PrizeH.K.H. On January 18, 2017, Prince Joachim distributed the DI’s Initiative Award 2016 to the company Fredsø Vognmandsforretning ApS.
The Danish Industry Initiative Award was awarded at the conference “Where are the companies of the future?” for small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial house.

The initiative prize is awarded annually to a small or medium-sized company, which has created the basis for growth through initiative and special motivation.

Fredsø Vognmandsforretning, which won the award among 19 selected companies, received the prize for focusing on the environment and safety in the execution of the company’s transport tasks. By lowering the speed of lorries during transport, Fredsø Vognmandsforretning has created growth and more jobs in the company, at the same time as having increased the truck drivers’ safety.

The haulage company fleet counts over 70 modern, satellite-controlled trucks and approx. 300 containers. The company transports goods, such as potatoes and fishery products, in both Denmark and Europe

Fredsø Vognmand receives a nationwide initiative award for environmentally friendly driving for the benefit of both the environment and business.
